A serving of 1 cup of butternut squash has 63 calories and zero grams of fat. It has 2.8 grams of dietary fiber, 16 grams of carbs, and 3 grams of sugar. And it's great for your immunity as it is loaded with beta-carotene and alpha-carotene that the body converts into vitamin A which is incredibly beneficial to your eyes.

This wonderful squash is also high in potassium which definitely helps with high blood pressure. Now we said it's also high in fiber that helps your blood sugar from spiking after you eat. It's also got a low glycemic index which also helps to keep blood sugar from spiking as the carbohydrates digest slowly.
