You can even use ice cream to make a delicious dessert! Hey, even a dash or whip cream on top can't hurt!

Now you can make your smoothies 2 ways: with enough consistency so you can drink with a straw, or thick enough that you can eat it with a spoon. To thicken it up you can add yogurt, veggies like spinach, shaved carrot, or kale, protein powder, peanut butter, nuts, seeds, or just double up on the fruit.

So now you want to blend that sweet mixture. The first thing we have to say is to put your blender setting on HIGH so everything in there gets nice and smooth for you. And depending on how thick it is, you may have to pause it so you can get the mixture off the sides of the glass. And keep the top on because you just never know how it's gonna take off when you start!

6 Things You Need To Fix Up in Your Home While You’re Quarantined!

While there’s still Quarantines going on, you have the time to finally fix up stuff in and around your house that you didn’t have the time to before! My friend did just that and his house has been upgraded considerably. Now he’s not a builder or even really a handyman for that matter, but he watched some You Tube videos, picked up a few supplies and learned how to fix up things around his home… and the results are awesome! Here’s a few fixes he made and now his house look simply amazing!

Sweet Potato Fries

Planted a Flower Garden The front of the house was drab for years, so an upgrade was in order. He laid down a few bags of soil, planted a bunch of thick colorful flowers, and added some new bushes. For real, it looks like he spent thousands with a landscaper but did it himself and it makes the house look spectacular! What an upgrade!

Sealed the Driveway – He bought a driveway sealing kit, fixed the cracks, laid down the sealant and it not only looks new, but now he’s making a few grand doing our neighbors driveways!

Replaced Porch Handrails – He got brand new modern looking handrails for the front and back porch, learned how to take out the old ones and install new ones! The porches look new and awesome!

Put in New Toilets The old ones were over 30 years old and just looked bad. So, he bought 2 brand new ones that are a slightly different shape and taller off the ground and what an absolute difference this makes in his bathrooms! And it really wasn’t hard to do.

Fixed Up His Shed – He has an old wooden shed where the door and roof was just old and the paint was chipped. So, he spent a weekend sanding the shakes, installed a nice new door, painted it all, replace a few shingles and even planted flowers around it. And I am telling you it makes his yard look like home. It’s actually unbelievable how much this spruced things up!

Installed Brand New Shutters He found vinyl shutters online that were beautiful, colorful and inexpensive. He had only repainted the house recently so doing the shutters was the finishing touch. Between the flowers, porch handrails, and the shutters the house looks new and without question has increased in value. Just gorgeous!

Hummingbirds Are Back! Here's Great Ways to Attract These Beauties to Your Yard!

Hummingbirds are simply amazing creatures to behold. Their wings beat at 80 flaps per second and their hearts do over 1200 beats per minute. Actually they don’t officially flap their wings, but instead they rotate them in a figure 8! They fly at an average of 25 - 30 miles per hour and can dive at a 50 miles per hour. They have no sense of smell but can hear a lot better than us humans! And some will travel over 2,000 miles twice a year for their migration! And they are the only birds on earth that can fly backwards, forwards, up, down, and sideways! Whew!

Now there are several things you can do to attract these beauties so you can see them quite often. First off, here ’s a nice list of plant life that the birds love: Many types of Beebalms (Lemon, Scarlet, Spotted), Coral Honeysuckle, Cardinal Flower, and a large variety of sages. These birds are made for eating sugary nectar which makes up 90 % of its diet. They’re also attracted to tubular flowers that are either orange or red.

Now, make sure your yard has lots of perches for them to rest on. But they will also perch to get a good look at the territory. They like to nest in places that are close by to the food source, especially near the edge of your yard. Now insects, especially spiders are an important part of their diet so its recommended to not use pesticides in your yard.

What you should use is sugar water by combining 4 parts of hot water with 1 part of white sugar boiled for a minute or two. Okay, so it just might be a good time to lose a few pounds and get into better shape. And since you're stuck at home, this is a great time to put just a little exercise into your day that's not only easy but will give you noticeable results. Want to lose some weight? Can't Leave the House? This French Onion Soup Recipe Will Make You Love Staying Home!

This has to be one of the greatest soups of all time! All those sweet onions, tasty bread, and gooey melted cheese will make you feel right at home. But what most people don't realize is how important the broth that you use is.

French Onion Soup

Beef broth is what's traditionally used, but all beef broths don't taste alike. Some are delicious and perfect for the recipe and some are not. Now you can make a homemade broth but it's a lot of work and takes a lot of time. So, we're recommending for this recipe that you buy a flavorful broth that you know will work well for your soup.

Ingredients Needed

  • 3 lbs of yellow onions sliced thin to make 10 cups
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 8 cups of beef stock
  • ½ cup of white dry wine
  • ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 8 slices of French Bread cut 1 ½ inches thick
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella
  • half a cup of grated parmesan cheese
French Onion Soup

Steps to Make
First you caramelize the white onion. Place in a thick bottomed pot. Add 3 tablespoons of olive on medium heat then add the onion and stir so they are coated.

Cook and stir the onions for 20 minutes. Turn the heat up just a little while adding the 4th spoon of oil along with the butter. Stir for another 15 minutes as the onions begin to brown. Sprinkle with sugar then add salt. Then stir and cook for another 15 minutes.

Add in your white wine and stir. Then add the beef stock and bring to a simmer. Put the heat to low with the pot covered and cook for another half an hour. Season with more salt and pepper if needed.

Time to toast the bread. Heat oven at 450 and use a rack lined with foil. Brush both sides of the bread lightly with olive oil. Place into oven and toast for 5 minutes. Then turn slices over and cover with mozzarella and parmesan cheese and place back in until melted.

Lastly, ladle soup into bowls and place the French slices on the top of each bowl and then enjoy the heck out of this fantastic dish!

It's SPRINGTIME & HERE's the BEST WAY to Get Back Into EXERCISE Without Pain

If you're like most people, you didn't really exercise much during the winter. But now its springtime, the weather is warmer, and you can't wait to get back into it! Walking, jogging, running, hiking, biking, softball, golf, it's all great, right? But you know darn well your muscles aren't used to being that active and they are definitely going to hurt.

The key is that you want to start slow. Now I KNOW so many of you hate the thought of not going all out but starting slow and building your exercise routine up over the next few weeks is the serious way to stay healthy and not pull muscles and be in pain. Now if you truly stayed active all winter, well, then you can get right back into exercising. But, if you were basically a couch potato, then you've GOT TO take it easy and build back up to where you were before the weather got too cold. Trust us, if you want to feel good, it's the only way to do it.

Guacamole

Before you start your jogging or running routine, walk for ten minutes a day, then move up to 15 minutes within the week. When you can easily get back to 20 minutes to half an hour, turn it into a slow run or jog. You won't believe how much this type of approach will help you adjust safely.

If you play golf, head out to the range several times and hit a bucket. If you go out to play 18 holes without some proper warming up, you KNOW how much your back, arms and legs will be sore or hurt pretty bad. The same with softball, go to the batting cages a few times along with having a catch several times with friends, all so you loosen up at a nice, safe pace. And if you bike, start out easy for ten to fifteen minutes during the first week or so until you can build your core back up.

First make sure your avocados are ripe, meaning not too hard and not to mushy, they should have a little give when you squeeze them. So, you cut it in half with a good-sized knife, remove the pit, then scoop into a bowl with a spoon. Next step is to add in the juice from 1 fresh lime and then mash it all up with a fork. Now you'll add half a finely diced onion (white or red) along with 2 Roma tomatoes with the seeds removed. You then want to add in a couple of fresh garlic cloves along with half a teaspoon of salt. Now mix it all up and you have heaven sitting in your bowl!

Get a standing desk for work and you can intermittently stand and sit during the day. Walk around while you talk on your cell phone. Drink a lot of water and you'll have to go to the bathroom more. Use the bathrooms on different floors so you have to walk. Join a workout class during your lunch break – you won't believe how much energy you'll start to have. Take walks after dinner every night! Wear a walking or fitness tracking watch so you can see how much you're actually moving around! Now get up and stretch when you feel stiff or for any good reason!
